Summer Sweat: Day 3

I know burpees were a part of yesterdays workout but they really are a great way to get your heart rate up and work a large portion of your body.

Today’s HIIT is burpee box jumps

Burpee box jumps could be done in many formats as far as cardio goes.

They can be done tabata style, in sets (ex. 5 sets of 4 with one minute rest between), intervals (ex. 30 seconds burpee box jumps, 30 seconds jogging in place), circuits (ex. 10 burpee box jumps, 10 squat jumps, 10 pushups, etc.)  or constant.

To perform, start in a plank position with feet behind you and hands underneath. Do a pushup and jump feet to the top of your body. Stand up and immediately jump on box. Step or jump off box and repeat.

They are obviously sped up in this video. Go fast enough that you are working hard and use a low enough/high enough box that you can jump comfortably on and off of.
